Photo Studio Planned for 2018
Bigger is Better! New spacious studio is on its way.
A new photo studio had been a dream of mine ever since I started this business eight years ago. I’ve been lucky to be working out of my home, but the living room of the old house just wasn’t meant to be a photo studio, no matter how hard I tried to make it one.
And the cost of retail space in Fairfield County is so crazy high, I knew that the only option I had was to move the entire house to find a studio space that will work. And, even more amazing, the husband was on board and ready to take on a HUGE new project.
Sure enough, along comes the answer to my prayers in the form of an 1840 Greek Revival historic house in Newtown that just happens to have an unfinished 2nd floor above the oversized 2-car garage. BINGO!
So yes, we sold the 1979 center hall colonial (that’s amazing these days) and moved.
It was a LOT of hard work and sweat and tears, but it happened. Now, onto the fun part! After my busy fall, we are getting to work on transforming the garage into my gorgeous photo studio, ready to take on babies, headshots, families, mini sessions… Everything I’ve always dreamed of.
Until the work on the photo studio is complete, I’ll still be available for outdoor family sessions, and a full schedule of holiday photo mini sessions around Fairfield County this fall. I may even be having a couple of days of mini sessions on the new property… it’s gorgeous, safe and ready to go.
