We have a LOT to celebrate! It’s time for family graduation photos
Family isn’t everything… It’s the only thing.
My last chicklet is leaving the nest, so it’s my turn to show off my beautiful family!
Lucky I happen to have brought my camera to the family party. I was able to get some great graduation photos of my daughter who graduated from Skidmore College (Magna Cum Laude, ahem…)
and of the other 15 family members who took the time and made the effort to show up at the celebration. It helps that it was a gorgeous day in Saratoga Springs. We were lucky enough to be able to set up our family party in the courtyard at the Tang Teaching Museum. It was one of the only places big enough to handle a crowd on graduation day. It was the perfect venue for a family party.
And, for once, I got in the family photos, thanks to my sister-in-law who was willing to step up and man the camera for me. Thanks, Julie! I know how important it is for moms to get in the family photos (see this post). I want my kids and grandkids to remember the good times our family had together, so it was time to practice what I preach.
We also were celebrating my older daughter’s 25th birthday. It’s hard to believe I’ve been a mom that long, but I am grateful to have two of the most caring, beautiful, and SMART daughters in the world, so it’s hardly been a rough ride. Well, there were those teenage years, but we can forget about that for now…
Today, it’s all about celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of these graduates and being grateful for family.
