Baby Photos or Big Sister Photos?
Home Newborn Photo Session and Playdate in One
When I got the call to do baby photos for this Easton family, I was thrilled for a couple of reasons. First, they had a little girl, and with all the little boys I’ve been photographing lately, I was happy to pull out my crate of girl stuff. Also, I had photographed big sister on location about a year ago, and we really hit it off. As much as it’s great to photograph a newborn, I also got a BONUS playdate with 3-year-old big sister!

Having had two little girls of my own, I have a soft spot for any little girl between one and five. We hit it off right away, and between playing with my stuffed owl and fixing our hair styles, I was able to get some great newborn photos of baby sister.
This baby girl is as beautiful as her big sis!
During the at home session, mom and dad got a little bit of a break from being on duty with 2 kids. I was happy to take some of the never-ending questions from big sister, and distract her enough so she was relaxed and into the session.
Some siblings aren’t so happy to partake of the baby holding and kissing, but we had an easy time getting this toddler involved. Maybe because this baby was so relaxed for her baby photos, she made it easy for everyone in the family to show her the love in her photo session. I hope it stays that way!
